Francaise Baked Chicken Wings
Pat the chicken wings dry and toss them in a mix of
flour, salt, and pepper until coated. Shake off the extra flour and place the
wings on a baking pan (my pan had a rack). Bake the coated wings in a
400-degree oven for about 30-40 minutes until cooked (flip halfway), then broil
the wings for a few extra minutes to perfect the crispness.
While the wings bake prepare the Francaise Sauce. I used a simple recipe from @allrecipes
Mix 1 tsp cornstarch with 2 tsp water and put aside
In a medium saucepan combine 1/2 cup wine, 2 cup chicken or vegetable broth, 1 tsp chopped parsley, salt and pepper to taste, 1/4 cup butter or margarine, and lemon juice of 2 lemons over medium-low heat. Stir together while heating slowly. When butter or margarine has melted, slowly stir in cornstarch mixture until sauce thickens slightly.
When the wings are finished smother them with the Francaise Sauce. Pour the remaining sauce in a bowl and dip the wings for even more flavor!
